Thunderous weekend action Courtney Taylor

This weekend saw Points Championship races on Saturday night, and a Crash to Pass special event on Sunday to round out the season.

On Saturday night, there were Bone Stock, Heartland Toyota Pro-Mini, Thunder, and Street Stock races.

Jessie Fisher was yet again top racer in the Thunder class winning all of the races in the class.
New driver, Terry Judd, driving Bob Lowen’s #40 set a new track record in the Street Stock class. He went around the track in 17.114 seconds, beating the previous record that was held by track veteran Arnie Kunka.

After the more serious races on Saturday, it was time for some fun on Sunday. There was the Crash To Pass which saw some pretty entertaining smashes, fun races, a smoke show, and king of the hill, which involves street legal cars racing.

Tyler Hamm won the King of the Hill for the second time in his right-hand drive Mazda.
The crowd favorite, the Crash To Pass, left two cars un-drivable after a few run ins with each and the wall leaving Jarret Bonn from Ft. St. John in # 19 the only one to cross the finish line.

This weekend was the conclusion of the season, racing action for 2012 gets started in May.
